Making the Right Moo-ves

Cows walking leisurely through open fields, grazing on naturally maintained grass, clover, and alfalfa, as a light fog from the nearby coast lingers in the air - it's the very idyllic image that you would expect of an organic dairy farm. At this Hokkaido ranch, managed by a 4th-generation farmer, the imagined ideal transforms into reality. The farm, which produces dairy products, meat, and salt, is guided by the philosophy that nature and humans are inextricably intertwined, and all processes and practices conducted during daily operations undeniably reflect that. Quality ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, enriched by the sea-salt minerals transported by the ocean breeze, and fed to cows raised comfortably in the open seaside landscape, resulting in products that are better for your body, and better for the earth. While the Tokachi region of Hokkaido is renowned for its flourishing and fertile agricultural industry, this ranch's wholesome and health-minded principles uniquely prioritize healthy food, a healthy body, and a healthy connection with the surronding natural world.

What you’ll do

Visit a 4th-generation farmer famed for his dedication to organic practices. Tour the ranch, where cows wander through open pastures and salt is processed by hand, while learning more about the rich heritage of farming in Hokkaido. Enjoy a taste of fresh milk and products, and potentially get the chance to feed a calf yourself.
