Bird lovers gather to the area in hopes of spotting this magnificent creature flitting around the trees or above the placid waters of the lake, as well as for a chance to spot other species of birds that call Hokkaido home. Join a nature guide and photographer, with countless major publications on the shimaenaga under his belt and insider knowledge on all of the bird hot-spots in the Akan-mashu region. Take in stunning scenery as you trek through the different ecosystems in search of Hokkaido’s birds, basking in the natural beauty of Hokkaido.
