Mt. Omine is one of the most prominent mountains in the Chugoku Mountain Range of Hiroshima Prefecture.  It offers panoramic views of the bustling shipping harbor of Hiroshima City and the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea.  At the foot of the mountain are hot spring resorts that have been cherished for centuries.  The mineral rich river waters that flow from Mt. Omine to the sea are credited with the area’s famously delicious oysters, and have even inspired the local saying, “Oysters are nurtured by forests.” 

The most spectacular Mt. Omine sites are only accessible by foot or bicycle.  Our tour guide will take you on an invigorating mountain bike ride through pristine forests with sunlight shimmering through tree leaves.  As you breathe deeply to fuel your pedaling, you will be rewarded with magical scents of the forest.  The electric assist bike also affords the option to conserve your energy along the way if you prefer to enjoy a more relaxed ride.  Won’t you join us for an afternoon of cycling some of the most magnificent mountain forest paths to be found on Mt. Omine?

What you’ll do

The tour will take you on a ride on a forest road (specially borrowed by the owner of the mountain), which is only accessible by MTB or walk. When you finish the forest road, you will be at the 9th station of Omineyama, the highest peak in Hiroshima City.
After only 10 minutes of climbing, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea!
The 360° view allows you to enjoy everything from the sea to the mountains.
If the weather is clear, you can see the mountains of Shikoku, and if the weather is even clearer, you can even see as far as Kyushu.
After having lunch at the summit, you can take a coffee break. Enjoy the coffee while enjoying the best view.

→Take Hiroden Bus towards Yuki Onsen at South Exit of Itsukaichi Station

About 70 minutes → Get off at the last stop “Yuki Lodge”

What to wear

Trekking shoes preferred. Sandals and Skirts are not allowed. We encourage you to bring a rain suits.
