Experience the culture of feudal Japan through Kanazawa's Geigi (Geisha).

Feel as though you’ve been transported to feudal Japan as you immerse yourself briefly in the world of Kanazawa’s geisha (or geigi, as they are locally known). Versed in traditional arts, geigi have been omnipresent in the Kanazawa teahouse district since its establishment 200 years ago under the feudal reign of Narinaga Maeda. Kanazawa’s geigi are well-known and revered both locally and internationally. They undergo rigorous training in the arts and hospitality, honing their skills, preserving cultural traditions, and entertaining guests with lavish dining, dancing, and musical performing. Enjoy an evening with Kanazawa geigi at a traditional ryotei restaurant open to guests by referral only. As you dine, murmuring waters of the Sai River along with stunning views of the Kanazawa cityscape and Mt. Io will enhance your enjoyment of the entertainment and the multi-course seasonal “kaiseki” meal.
