Deeper flavors
Sake is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice that has played a dynamic role in Japanese cuisine and culture for centuries. This clear beverage is served and enjoyed in a variety of settings, everywhere from household meals to celebrations and religious ceremonies. Considered the drink of the gods in the Shinto religion, it is also drunk at festivals and offered to the kami (gods). Sake is made of polished water, and Koji (a product made from steamed rice and mold that converts starch into sugars) and water. At this brewery located near the mountains, only the freshest spring mountain water and high quality rice is used, creating a fantastic arrays of sake. Enjoy this immersive tour into the heart of sake at this 6th generation run sake brewery.
What you’ll do
Go on a tour of the sake brewery and get a close-up look at the process of making Japan’s ‘drink of the gods’. Then, to the fun part of tasting and comparing several of the brewery’s finest offerings, and learning the nuances of sake’s multidimensional flavors.

A jacket or light layer as you’ll be entering a refrigerated room.

Sake tasting is only available to those who are 20 years of age (legal drinking age in Japan) and above.
