Years ago, Makoto, the owner of this small brewery, was not interested in beer at all. He could not drink that much to begin with. Everything changed after he got married. The newly wedded couple travelled around the world for their honeymoon to discover pubs and breweries in every place they visited, playing crucial roles in local cultures and businesses. Yuwaku, about 20 minutes by car from Kanazawa center, is known for trees, hot springs, and delicious water. “Isn’t it a perfect place to create beer and simultaneously make it as part of new local culture?” Makoto thought. Enjoy an excursion to the brewery during your stay in Kanazawa. Kei, Head brewer, will show you the brewery and hop field, explaining how he creates his craft beer, sometimes combining flavors of local tea or citrus. After tasting craft beer, enjoy a long walk and hot springs!
What you’ll do
Go on a tour of the craft beer brewery and get a close-up look at the process of making beer. Then, to the fun part of tasting and comparing several of the brewery’s beers.

Who can attend
Beer tasting is only available to those who are 20 years of age (legal drinking age in Japan) and above.
Drinking is prohibited for drivers.
